good eats: seattle
🍽
Here is my list of all the restaurants and food I tried during my time in Seattle.
Cap Hill
Spinasse
Kedai Makkan
Machiavelli
Okay, the gnocchi was mediocre imo - forgot to take pics
Starbuck’s Reserve Roastery
Come here instead of waiting in a long line at the OG starbucks - reserve roastery has better quality drinks & pastries too.
Hot Cakes
A bit overpriced for mug-sized cake and a scoop of ice cream but a fun treat for sure. Try the cherry manhattan.
Molly Moon’s Ice Cream
There are other locations too but this ice cream chain - is the superior one. I’ve had Salt n Straw, Cold Stone, Smittens, etc. and nothing beats this.
Ballard
Sawyer
This place was my all-time favorite spot in Seattle! Went here almost every Sunday after strolling through the farmer’s market. Came for their famous smores tacos, stayed for everything else on their menu.
Mighty O Donuts
Donuts. Nuff said.
Sabine
Got a Sevilla which was an espresso with cocoa and orange zest. It was so good I drank it in 3 minutes and forgot to take a pic. 10/10.
South Lake Union
Casco Antigua
So delish and affordable. The food was refreshing and tangy, did not leave you in a food coma. Also you get a view of the Sphere’s if that matters.
Tulla Belle
This place was underrated af. Neopolitan pizza slaps.
Wild Ginger McKenzie
Satay chicken was super unique and very gingery (less peanut sauce than most satay). Butter chicken was very aromatic - but nothing extraordinary.
Pike Place Market
The Pink Door
The ambience was so magical here, and the food did not disappoint. This spot is a must with waterfront views (reserve in advance).
Alibi Room
Located in the gum wall alley - this place has a old rustic bar vibe and decent pizzas. Get their spicy mac n cheese though.
Piroshky Piroshky
Okay THIS is worth the wait. I’ve never had anything like this and how I wish this chain was in California ughhh. I would have this every day for lunch if possible.
Rachel’s Ginger Beer
Another chain I wish I had near home. The black currant and blood orange flavors are my favorite.
Pike Place Chowder
I’m personally not the biggest chowder person but this one was reallyy good. On par if not better than Boudin (sorry bay peeps). Good shit for cold weather.
Fremont
Simply Desserts
Best. Cakes. Ever. I repeat - Best. Cakes. Ever. This place is super hole in the wall but my gosh I will always come back here. Got a few slices on my birthday and since then, it became a 9 PM treat on weeknights to drive over and get a piece or two. Pro Tip: They bake their cakes at night so try to go after dinner time!
My favorite flavors: Chocolate mocha, Pumpkin Orange, and Bailey’s Irish Cream.
Pablo y Pablo
Decent tacos. Fire dessert - get the churros and chocolate mousse.
University District
Din Tai Fung
Queen Anne
Toulouse Petit Kitchen
Hope this was helpful for finding food in the city!
